I got cast in yet another theater festival here in NYC! So many fun projects and new works to explore!
The show is called “The Unknowns” by Kacie Devaney
I play Isabella, a sweet country girl who introduces herself to her new neighbors.
Many twists and dark turns in this script which make it all the more interesting to play!

Another AMAZING project I had the chance to perform on was the BMI Musical Theater Workshop in NYC.
I had the pleasure of working with Atomic The Musical creators Gregory Bonsignore and Aaron Kenny.
Their musical is called “The Talented Mr. Ripely” based on the movie of the same name.
It was a FANTASTIC experience and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this show in the future!
!!OFFICIAL WINNER OF THE SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL!!
I’ve been so very busy this week, I haven’t had time to update!
Among many things, I am performing at The Players Theater (off broadway) at their Short Play Festival!
It’s a night of new works all with the theme “Subways”.
Antonio Silva and I star in “Strangers on an E Train” by Ruthellen Cheney.
So very funny and well written, I hope everyone gets a chance to see it!

It’s always busy here in NYC. Lots of projects and lots of fun!
So let’s do a nice re-cap.
It’s Spring!!! And I am definitely looking forward to filming in warmer weather, because no one likes filming in the cold.
Since I got back from the holiday season, I worked on a short film titled “Cataclysm” directed by an NBCUniversal intern, Erian Mathis, at the end of January. I played a principle role of the Psychologist.
So how does that make you FEEL?
Last weekend I filmed some intense finale scenes for indie film 1970’s thriller, Thorns for Flowers, as lead, Gretchen. It will be ready in time to screen at the International Soho Festival May 2016! Woo!
Then I have a reading (and filming in April) for the third episode of nerdy web-series, Three Days of Glory, as principle role, cosplayer Nina Collins.
The other week I got a few callbacks for a National Commercial in which all information is confidential, but I had a really great time working with the commercial director and House Casting, NYC.
I was also involved in a workshop of a new musical by Greg Bonsignore (up and coming lyricist and director of recent Off Broadway show, Atomic) in conjunction with BMI Musical Theater Workshop. The music was catchy and hilarious. Can’t wait to see their production come together!
And finally, I performed in Love Creek’s Off Broadway One Act of “The Power and The Glory” as lead, nervous wreck Wanda. Plenty of physical comedy with great laughs! Well written script.
Alissa Simmons performing as Wanda.
So Spring is off to a great start with all my weekends through May filled with film shoots (Three Days of Glory and Thorns for Flowers), and hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze in some little projects in-between.
I’m thrilled to announce my Off Off Broadway Debut! HUZZAH!!
Time to bust out the bubbly. Aw Yiss.
I will be performing the amazing show “Thanksgiving in the Wilderness” by Kellie Powell with Love Creek Theater at the Producer’s Club Theater near Times Square, NYC.

I am happy to announce that I am now a company member at an Off Off Broadway theater called Love Creek Productions!
I am looking forward to working on new works with new directors here in NYC! This is why I moved here. I am really glad to be getting involved in stage theater again. It is my home after all!
My counselor prescribes 4 hours of rehearsal a day.
Someday soon I will level up to Off Broadway, but for now, I am going to enjoy every minute of the my actor journey.
Happiness is not wanting what you don’t have, it’s enjoying what you got.
Another opening, another show. Cheers!

I BOOKED IT! NEW YORK CITY STAGE, HERE I COME!!
I am proud to announce my casting in “The Great Forgotten”, a play that takes place in the roaring 1920’s. Full of war, romance, and dancing, this is a show you don’t want to miss!
This new play will perform at NYC’s oldest and biggest theater festival: NYC FRINGE FESTIVAL. Out of thousands of shows, they only pick a select few to perform in the heart of New York City.
I’m very excited to be cast in a show with strong female characters and real grit. The 1920’s was turn of the century for women’s rights and lifestyles. They started to fight for their freedoms to live as they choose. These themes still apply today.
The show will run mid-late August. More details soon!
